Best Indian Non-Vegetarian Delicacies

April 1st, 2008

Mughals, Persians, and Afghanis brought non-vegetarian food to Indian sub-continent especially the tandoori recipes and some of the fusion created with Indian spices has given us Indians the “best non-vegetarian recipes of the world”. Chicken Tikka Masala is an inspired famous British recipe created and popularized by Indians, by transforming the spicy curry into tomato soup with some mild spices and roasted (tandoori) chicken tikka kebabs.

I would share some of the best non-vegetarian delights I have been able to taste.

Best Indian vegetarian dishes - Personal Favorite

March 31st, 2008

Delhi is a paradise for people who love non-vegetarian food, learnt this by spending 25 years of my life in Delhi. In the name of vegetarian food people end up with mostly Paneer dishes (cottage cheese), like shahi paneer, matar panner, palak paneer, kadai paneer etc.

However, due to work profile I got the opportunity to travel and work in various part of the country and enjoyed some of the best vegetarian delicacies. I would like to share some of the vegetarian delights, which would be popular with most of us.

I would start from Rajasthan, a vibrant state of colors and diversity has some of the best flavors. My first blog post - after all excuses to myself

March 30th, 2008

Recently one of my colleagues asked me why don’t you blog?. My reaction? Damn, he is right (although I thought he might be joking). Well, I have been on the social media network for nearly one year (not that experienced though) watching conversations, commenting on blogs, experimenting with the tools, plug-ins etc. talking about cool software tools writing about new technologies.

However, I have never attempted to blog myself. So I had to ask myself, what could I write about? Frankly, I have offered up a million and one reasons for not having blogged yet (my favorite one-liner “not having enough time”). I mean how do you find the extra minutes to essay thoughts and consideration between work, driving in bangalore traffic, dining, wife, kid, housework—and oh, I forgot, much needed sleep after all of this rush. After all, there are just 24 hours in a day.

So here, it is… my first blog post that too on a blog with my name. I gave up all the excuses and submitted myself to a reduced amount of sleep so that I can gain the respect of my wonderful colleagues, some day they might say “hey just subscribed your blog, when did you started?”
