The best way to enjoy weekend would be a day visit to Wonder la, an amusement park located 28 km away from Bangalore on Mysore highway. This spanking amusement park has all that it takes for creating a special destination for complete family place to enjoy weekend.

It was my first trip to this amusement park. I had been to Appu Ghar in my child hood, but an amusement park like Wonder la is incomparable to what appu ghar was. It is much more then what Appu Ghar could offer (However, that was what we could have considered to be the best in India in those days).

A ticket on a Weekend would cost approx Rs 600 and Rs 420 for kids between 90-140 cm, on weekdays charges are lesser. You must come prepared with your swimming trunks or costumes as there is so water splash for you to enjoy. The best time to enter the park would be by 11:00 am, which means you have enough time to enjoy major attractions may be two - three times.

The first thing I checked out was friendly fish, a small pond full of 7-9 inches Koi carps, once you try and feed them they would suck your fingers. This place has lot of scream machines and people looking for real fun should try “maverick” ride once, there are many more like that.

The park has lot of fantastic water rides; the best was Wave pool and had most number of visitors. The only thing disappointed me was the food served at the local restaurants here, and it was pathetic. They could allow outside food joints to serve food to improve the quality of food served here.

The security and cleanliness was up to the mark and should not be a major concern for parents. I think people coming to Bangalore should visit this place once.

When Citibank launched Citibank MTV credit card, I thought its better to have this card to avail offers on music or collaterals related to MTV. So, applied for this card and also got this approved from Citibank.

After using the card for and maintaining good record for couple of years, I had a financial crisis and was with some debts to clear off including Citibank card credit, so I requested Citibank for a settlement of the account and convert whatever I have to pay in EMI’s. Upon receiving my request, I received a plan from Citibank for the full and final settlement.

They took PDC cheques for equal installments and they kept withdrawing monthly installments regularly. Suddenly I got a better opportunity and had to change my job and city. Due to this the bank where I was holding the salary account had to be closed by the previous employer. The cheques unfortunately I had issued to Citibank were of the same bank account, which was getting closed.

I inquired with them and explained my situation, they again gave a new plan, where the executive came and collected the new cheques of different bank, this time they reduced the number of installments and increased the amount for which I also agreed, as I wanted to get this closed as soon as possible.

The place where I have been living since 2006 is a sub-urban part of the Bangalore. Coming from Delhi and that too from South Delhi, I had access to all major Internet service providers including one of the best in India, Airtel. However, unlike Delhi I had to face some problems in getting an Internet connection. Upon searching with local people, I found that “Hathway” who is the cable T.V. service provider also provides Internet connectivity.

Therefore, I decided to start and see how good it is. I opted for a shared 128 Kbps (small b, which means bits) connection. An engineer visited my house who appeared to be bit more literate then the normal cable guy, he connected a CAT6 cable to my house. Obviously, it was really a shared connection. They then installed a small application with user name and password to access Internet. Below mentioned are some of the problems with this type of connection.

Bandwidth is heavily shared and you would never get enough bandwidth to open even small websites. Never was able to know how many users are sharing the bandwidth from a single 128 Kbps line, generally, they claim such connections to 1:4, but for me it seems it was 1:16. Imagine the usage.

The application was required to run at startup and made me to wait 5-10 minutes to boot my laptop. Moreover, the application behaved like a virus as removing its driver caused blue screen of death on my Windows XP, I had to use my repair tools (Bart-PE) to repair my Windows.

The supports they provided was really pathetic, a guy who was not aware of anything used to handle calls between working days and on weekdays there support was on the hands of the security guards or the peons who were in the office.

This is entirely my own experience, experience with this service provider may be different with different people. I am not using this connection and would never be from this company.

Looking to those famous six packs of Shahrukh Khan or watching the latest beach volleyball studs displaying there beach bodies? Here’s a relatively hassle free way to get there, begin with a healthy breakfast.

If you are prone to snacking, keep a supply of fat free snacks around. Make sure to get 20 minutes of exercise everyday. It also helps to find a partner with same mission, so you can both coax each other along the path to the thin and narrow.

Make sure your oil intake is reduced to 3 table spoons a day, and do not stick to one style of oil. Try all healthy oils including olive, mustard and sunflower. Yes, oil is necessary for body and starving heavily to reduce weight could cause serious health issues.

Take nice lunch, which should include chapattis, rice (a bowl), vegetable or one bowl of chicken or fish dish, avoid having red meat, prawns and pork. Make sure you start your lunch with lots of crunchy salad, give a gap of 5-10 minutes, and have water after lunch giving again a gap of 5-10 minutes.

In between lunch and dinner or at teatime have wheat rusk or rich fiber biscuits, again start dinner with lots of crunchy salads and take any one of the cereals, either wheat or rice and do not include any non-vegetarian dish.

Sticking to this diet plan for a regular period and doing extensive workout daily will reduce that unwanted flab from your tummy to make you look smarter.

Before you can earn anything you need to create an account with ‘Paypal’ and “Alertpay’ for getting payments and delivering them to your bank account.

Below mentioned are some of the options that would help you to create money in a very short span of time, first thing that you need to understand is that the advice given here would not make you rich overnight. It is just some extra money that you can spend for a weekend trip to a food joint, or paying some extra bucks for gas.

PTC Sites

PTC is an abbreviation for Paid To Click. These are sites that pays you to click on ads, and viewing the resulting webpage for a certain amount of time (30 sec, 15 sec and 10 sec). after viewing the ad for that duration, your account is credited with small PTC charge which is generally in some cents. You need to click on many of these ads every day, therefore giving you potential to earn several times the standard rate each day. Payouts are generally when your account balance reaches $10 with most of the PTC websites.

HONESTBUX

Paid Blogging

If you own a blog, you can start writing posts for people. They would pay for posting a review about their products, websites etc. This is the fastest way to earn money from website. A suggestion for new bloggers write genuine content as copying content would make your website penalized in Google and also the advertiser may reject your posting.

Ruskin bond an Indian author of British descent born before Independence (1934) in Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh, state of India), is best author for me.

The short story collection of Ruskin Bond “The best of Ruskin Bond” has all his popular collection of short stories, essays and poems.

The writing style of Ruskin creates a complete view of pre-independence India, when British ruled the country and the way Indians and English people were staying in India. Most of the stories hover around his childhood experiences, some heartbreaking and some funny.

He has written some his memories, the time spent with his father, who actually inspired him to write and his mother who left him after his parents separated when he was a kid. The people around him who worked at his house when he was a kid have influenced him a lot such as the “Ayah” the “Mali” (Gardener) and his stepfather.

In later part of the book, he has shared some of his memories when he was in England, his friend who died although he kept on believing him not as his good friend, but after his death, he eventually believes.

People know him as a writer who has been writing for children’s, but many of his work is for mature people as well.

The best story of his is “The eyes have it”, a very short story but really a good one. It depicts a blind person sitting in a train compartment happens to meet a girl and tries show her that he is not blind. He keeps on thinking about her on the trip and when she leaves for her station, he later get surprised to know from a fellow passenger that “she too was blind”.

Yes, and it is a fact that work kills more people than war. Reading the ILO (International Labor Organization) horrifying facts would make you believe this. Approximately some 2 million workers from all types of work areas lose their lives per year.

The cause of death is work-related injuries and illness, accidents causes more then 300 thousand deaths per year. Working in unsafe environment and with unsafe working practices causes more then 5000 workers death every day, eventually three persons die every 60 seconds.

Working in unsafe environments or work related injuries resulting in disabilities or accidents have caused more deaths then deaths caused due to alcohol or drugs.

People who suffer the most are the one who do manual work with the manufacturing units and are exposed to some of the most hazardous working environments. On a daily basis more then 20 people die due to heat stroke, 30 expire from carbon monoxide or other hazardous or poisonous gases in some of the chemical or inorganic products manufacturing units.

So many losses of lives, amongst them who lose their life would be the sole bread-earning members of the family. This should be a matter of concern for the companies or the local government agencies.

Now days Japanese-eating habits is becoming more westernized, with many families choosing American style of meals in breakfast like toast, cereals etc. for the convenience factor, many Japanese still choose for an ultra-balanced conventional Japanese breakfast.

The foundation of such a meal is white rice, which goes along with a steaming “miso” soup with tofu and seaweed. A variety of garnishes, such as nori (laver), antto (fermented soya beans), umeboshi (pickled plum) and tsukemono (pickled vegetables) are added to make the meal more stimulating, while side dishes of grilled fish, tamagoyaki ( a rolled egg omlette), and vegetables are also typical.
