Pushkar is the name of a town in Rajasthan a state in India. According to Hindu mythology, gods released a swan with a lotus in its beak and let it fall on earth where Brahma would perform a magnificent yag. The place where the lotus fell is Pushkar.

Pushkar city has a lake, which is called Pushkar Lake. Pushkar is also famous for its annual Pushkar Camel Fair a largest camel fair in the world, and attracts many tourists from around the globe.
Pushkar (I mean the place) presents the rich and diverse colors of Rajasthan and shows the diversity of rural India.
